NVC Arts

S Y N O P S I S

In this film Joaquin Cortès talks about his early life, his desire to dance and the rejections he suffered when no one would take him seriously. Today, however, all this has changed. Cortès is seen as a ground-breaking visionary with extraordinary talent. Combining interviews, dance sequences and more informal and spontaneous moments of Cortès and his company, this documentary conveys all the excitement and energy of flamenco. It traces his rise to fame from humble beginnings in a village outside Cordoba to dancing at the gala opening of the Giorgio Armani store in New York.
