GOING GOING is a funny-sad film about fear. It is about the unknown, and the dark in which monsters and ghosts lurk. The film features writer/performer Emily Woof and countless house lamps of all shapes and sizes.

The central character, Anna, follows her absent Mother on her nightly ritual as she walks round the family house, turning the house lamps on one by one. In the course of the lamp walk, Anna talks about being afraid of the dark and of the secrets that all families and lovers keep from one another. The humour of GOING GOING stems from Anna’s earnest and poignant relationship with her Mother and her well-intentioned but flawed relationship with her boyfriend, Scott.

GOING GOING was screened in 2001 as part of Channel 4’s Shooting Gallery.
